01

A positive classroom

Online lessons should be safe, focused and respectful. Students must follow teacher instructions and allow others to learn without disruption, intimidation or inappropriate behaviour.

02

Student expectations

  • Join on time using the registered name
  • Work from a suitable and reasonably quiet place
  • Dress and communicate appropriately
  • Keep login details private
  • Use chat, microphone, camera and screen sharing only as directed
  • Do not photograph, record or redistribute a lesson without written permission
  • Tell a trusted adult or staff member about any concern
03

Family expectations

Parents and guardians should support suitable equipment and supervision appropriate to the child’s age. They should not interrupt teaching except where urgent and should use agreed channels for questions or concerns.

04

Recordings and materials

Lesson recordings and resources are for authorised learning use only. They must not be copied, edited, posted online or shared with another person unless Synergy has given written permission.

05

Concerns and consequences

Staff may mute, remove or restrict a participant to protect learning or safety. Repeated or serious concerns may lead to a meeting, behaviour plan, suspension or withdrawal of access. Safeguarding concerns are handled under the safeguarding policy.
